Quicken, MS Money, Moneydance, other, or none?

January 1st, 2008 at 03:18 pm

I always loved Quicken in Win 3.1 days, it was excellent software, then used Money 2003 which was pretty good with great online bank account connectivity, but now I'm thinking of the Open Source Moneydance. I like how you can use it on Windows and Linux. I was surprised that my very financially astute brother said he uses none.

So what say you? Thanks.

I rely on a PDA software called "PocketMoney".

It's worked well enough that I have not had to rely on more conventional software....

If you don't mind "online", Mint.com and Yodlee.com are worth looking into also, since they're free.

Hmm - mint.com sounds interesting but pretty scary that you have to give it your login name and password for bank and cc accounts - that just seems wrong!
